The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) announced Friday that an inaugural flight to Amman has taken off from Washington International Airport (IAD) and arrived at Queen Alia International Airport. According to a JTB statement, this move will positively affect tourist traffic and increase American travelers to the Kingdom.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and chairman of JTB, Nayef Fayez, said United Airlines Inc will be flying the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner three times weekly, with a capacity for 243 passengers, and will maintain this schedule throughout 2022. This new direct link between the two capitals benefits Jordanians and Americans. It brings the two countries closer, whether it is to facilitate tourism, improve trade ties or launch a new educational collaboration.
